Job summary

Lynd Group is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across a multifamily property in Lake Charles, LA. You will respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues, and complete preventive maintenance tasks to keep units and common areas in top condition.

The ideal candidate has hands-on problem-solving skills, a focus on quality workmanship, and the ability to provide prompt, professional service to residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of facility or multifamily maintenance experience.
• HVAC knowledge and preventive maintenance.
• General plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair skills.
• Ability to safely operate standard maintenance tools.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Complete plumbing repairs and fix leaks.
• Perform minor electrical repairs and replace lighting.
• Repair appliances, locks, walls, flooring.
• Complete painting and make-ready tasks.
• Inspect vacant apartments before move-in.
• Maintain pools, common areas, and facilities.
• Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours emergencies.
• Report major repairs to supervisor.
