Job summary

Lynd Management Group, LLC is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across a multifamily property in the Lake Charles, LA area. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, quality workmanship, and timely service to residents.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in maintenance, knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances, and strong customer service skills. On-site role with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of facility, commercial, or multifamily maintenance and mechanical repair experience preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator and CAMT certifications preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders accurately and on time.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Complete plumbing repairs, including repairing leaks and removing clogs.
• Perform minor electrical repairs and replace light fixtures and related components.
• Repair appliances, locks, cabinets, walls, flooring, and other apartment features.
• Complete painting, touch-ups, and other apartment make-ready duties.
• Inspect vacant apartments and help ensure they are ready for move-in.
• Maintain pools, equipment, common areas, grounds, maintenance rooms, and other property facilities.
• Complete preventive maintenance projects and maintain accurate service records.
• Report major repairs, safety hazards, and contractor needs to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
• Maintain an appropriate inventory of tools, parts, chemicals, and supplies.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies.
