Job summary

Denton Floyd Real Estate Group is seeking an energetic Maintenance Technician to join our Lexington, KY team. The role involves day-to-day upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance across residential communities, under the Community Manager.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in residential property management or equivalent maintenance, 1 year plumbing, and solid HVAC/electrical skills. On-call after hours emergencies are required, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years residential property management, or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 1 year plumbing experience required.
• HVAC or EPA Certificate preferred but not required; CPO is a plus.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day upkeep and repairs of the property under the Community Manager.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, appliances, pools, painting, electrical, irrigation, and carpentry as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units and water heaters.
• Repair or replace light fixtures, switches, receptacles, and thermostats.
• Unclog plumbing drains; repair/replace fixtures.
• Complete Make Ready Check Lists and notify manager of issues.
• Be on-call after hours for emergencies.
