Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the property's physical integrity and appearance, ensuring buildings and common areas meet standards for safety and cleanliness. You will address resident service requests and support efficient property operations.

The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and preventive maintenance, including preparing units for new residents and inspecting completed work for quality.

Qualifications

• One-year maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal for refrigerant handling.
• Multifamily maintenance experience highly desired.
• Must be available for emergency on-call, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly using a work order system to track and complete repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repair tasks across the property to ensure safe operation.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents by inspections, punch lists, scheduling contractors, and repairs.
• Maintain amenity areas and common spaces through cleaning, trash removal, and minor painting.
• Manage maintenance tools and materials, track inventory, and notify supervisors for reorder needs.
• Support safety policies by attending meetings, OSHA training, and reporting incidents.
• Inspect work by vendors or contractors to ensure quality and scope alignment.
