Job summary

Legacy LLC in Lansing, MI is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for a 315-unit cooperative. You will perform general maintenance and repair tasks and complete residential work orders promptly, while also caring for property grounds and outdoor areas.

The role requires 2+ years of multi-family maintenance experience, basic plumbing/electrical/HVAC/carpentry, strong customer service, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

Two or more years of experience with multi-family maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Customer service attitude in all interactions with staff and residents.
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Must be flexible in work assignments with the ability to work occasional weekends and/or evenings required.
Self-motivated with the ability to work as a team and independently.
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repair duties and complete residential work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain property grounds, including clean up and trash removal, and outdoor snow removal.
Work different shifts, including on-call and emergencies (averaging about 4 times per year), weekends, holidays, and extended hours outdoors.
