Job summary

Thompson Thrift in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance operations at a multifamily community. You will work under the Maintenance Manager and Community Manager to address service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and carry out repairs to keep the property safe, functional, and well‑maintained for residents.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of property maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 80

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in property maintenance.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements, including frequent lifting of 50–80 lbs and occasional up to 100 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for on‑call emergencies.
• On-call duty and emergency repairs availability required.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent issues and ensuring quality resolution.
• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general carpentry.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and support scheduled inspections of building systems and equipment.
• Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers to support occupancy and readiness goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and communicate updates to leadership.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including OSHA and company policies.
• Assist with vendor coordination and notify leadership when additional support is needed.
• Participate in emergency response efforts and on-call rotations as required.
• Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members to support a positive experience.
