Job summary

Cortland Belmar in Lakewood, CO is hiring a Maintenance Technician responsible for keeping the community safe, functional, and well‑maintained. You will diagnose and repair building systems, support preventative maintenance, and help preserve assets through consistent care.

You will respond to on‑call rotations, prioritize multiple work orders, and communicate clearly with residents and the team to deliver high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• EPA certification (Type I, II, or Universal) is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3+ years of maintenance/ facilities or multi‑family housing experience.
• Strong technical skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, and building systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and handle multiple work orders.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Safe operation of tools and maintenance equipment.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and resolve maintenance issues across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, flooring, stairs, and building components.
• Correct unsafe conditions and hazards promptly and safely.
• Monitor and report on the condition of building and security systems.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units and systems.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts for timely work orders.
• Respond to on‑call rotations and emergencies as needed.
• Provide friendly, professional service to residents and team members.
• Document completed work and report recurring issues to supervisor.
