Job summary

Arete Res is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of a multifamily community in TX. The role requires HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and pool operation knowledge. Weekend on-call rotations are required.

You will lead the maintenance team, coordinate with vendors, and ensure safety and high building standards. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing preventative maintenance, turning units market-ready, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
• EPA HVAC Certification required.
• CPO certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years multifamily maintenance experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and on-call shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations of the community to highest safety and appearance standards.
• Lead maintenance team, coordinate with vendors and contractors, ensure timely work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain and enforce safety policies, OSHA standards, and fair housing compliance.
• Manage on-call weekend rotations and emergency responses.
• Assist in budget, bids, and inventory management for maintenance supplies.
