Job summary

Lynd Management Group is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across a multifamily property in New Orleans, LA. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, quality work, and prompt service to residents.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of maintenance experience, knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. EPA/POOL/CAMT certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years maintenance and mechanical repair experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and preventive maintenance.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and apartment repairs.
• Ability to safely operate standard and specialized maintenance tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer and mobile technology skills.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator and CAMT certifications preferred.
• Technical school, associate degree, or relevant military training is a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders on time.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Complete plumbing repairs, including leaks and clogs.
• Perform minor electrical repairs and replace light fixtures.
• Repair appliances, locks, cabinets, walls, flooring, and other features.
• Complete painting and other make-ready duties.
• Inspect vacant apartments and prep for move-in.
• Maintain pools, common areas, and equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance projects and keep service records.
• Report major repairs and safety hazards to supervisors.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours emergencies.
