Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to preserve the property’s integrity and appearance, handling routine upkeep, resident service requests, and safer operation across buildings and common areas.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, unit prep for new residents, and supervising vendors. Required: 1 year general maintenance, HVAC certs preferred, EPA refrigerant handling, and a valid driver’s license. On-call evenings/weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• One-year prior experience in general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal certification required for refrigerant handling.
• Multifamily (apartment) maintenance experience highly desired.
• Must be available for emergency on-call, including evenings and weekends upon the needs of the property.
• Valid driver's license required (for golf cart operation if applicable).
• Must be customer-service oriented with the ability to interact professionally with residents.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Any other certifications as required by local and state laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests via work orders.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repair tasks for safe operation.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, inspections, punch lists, scheduling.
• Maintain amenity areas through cleaning, trash removal, pressure washing, painting.
• Manage maintenance tools, track inventory, notify reorder needs.
• Repair parts to be cost-effective.
• Attend safety meetings and OSHA training; report incidents.
• Inspect work by vendors to ensure quality.
• Assist in property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
