Job summary

Ginkgo Residential in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support maintenance operations across our communities. You will handle preventive, corrective, routine and cosmetic work, plus coordinate make-ready tasks to achieve market readiness.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience, HVAC, EPA and CPO certifications, and strong knowledge of building systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience (multifamily required).
• HVAC, EPA, and CPO certifications.
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances).
• Experience with property management software (e.g., Onesite, Yardi) preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance in accordance with policy.
• Coordinate and oversee all work by sub-contractors; ensure make-ready repairs are completed on schedule.
• Maintain service shop with adequate inventory and organized tools.
• Inspect vacated apartments and inform on needed services and repairs.
• Restore apartments to market ready status in a timely manner.
• Promote resident satisfaction and safe operations.
