Job summary

StoneRiver Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep apartment units and property facilities in good working order. You will handle service requests, prepare units for rent, and support preventive maintenance scheduled activities.

You will work with a team, contact vendors as needed, and assist with landscape and housekeeping duties. The role requires on-call availability, strong multitasking, and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical repairs and maintenance of home-related equipment
• HVAC certification and experience
• EPA Type II or Universal certification, plus any additional certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license
• Residence within 30 miles of assigned property
• Basic knowledge of repair and maintenance of household appliances, plumbing, and lighting fixtures
• Availability for on-call rotation

Responsibilities

• Receive service orders, prioritize, and handle each order efficiently and accurately
• Perform repairs or maintenance on incoming work orders to ensure timely completion
• Assist team with complex orders or, when needed, complete the job
• Contact approved vendors for work not performed by in-house staff
• Perform tasks for a preventive schedule
• Ensure vacated units are prepared to rent
• Keep the shop organized and in good working order
• Order parts and supplies as needed
• Inform Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager about property condition and coordinate resolutions
• Assist with landscape and housekeeping duties as needed
• Be polite and courteous to residents at all times
• Work on-call as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
