Job summary

HEPCO Inc. is seeking an Energy Efficiency Specialist to oversee multifamily energy efficiency projects, manage scope, schedules, budgets, and program compliance while coordinating with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to maximize energy savings and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in energy efficiency programs or 9 years of related experience, strong project management and data analysis skills, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in energy efficiency, construction, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency programs or 9 years in lieu of degree.
• Experience processing milestone-based construction payments and forecasting spending.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation methods, and costs.
• Familiarity with residential and commercial program incentive structures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and process improvement mindset.
• Ability to travel within the client’s service territory and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee energy efficiency projects in accordance with BPU orders and program requirements.
• Develop and maintain processes for multifamily energy efficiency projects.
• Review scope, costs, and eligibility to ensure program conformity.
• Customize customer proposals to maximize incentives and energy savings.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
• Review vendor deliverables, monitor performance, and process invoices.
• Perform QA/QC with site visits and inspections.
• Monitor projects involving HVAC, lighting, motors, and EMS.
• Prepare management and regulatory reports and forecast spending.
• Manage customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction.
• Ensure safety, controls, and internal procedures compliance.
