Description

The Multifamily Construction Superintendent | Richmond, VA will be responsible for:

Overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring subcontractor work meets quality standards
Coordinating field operations across trades to ensure on-time, on-budget completion in compliance with plans, specs, safety, and regulations
Communicating project updates effectively with leadership and stakeholders
Attending weekly meetings with subcontractors, owners, and architects to ensure alignment
Monitoring and enforcing site safety procedures and protocols
Tracking workforce activity and maintaining accurate daily reports
Supporting quality control through regular inspections and punch list follow-ups
Assisting with field documentation and maintaining organized project records
Helping to develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules
Managing and verifying timely and accurate delivery of materials to the job site
Ensuring all materials and installations comply with approved submittals and contract requirements
Partnering with the Project Manager to keep the master project schedule current, reflecting real-time progress and adjustments

Profile

The Multifamily Construction Superintendent | Richmond, VA will have:

10+ years of proven experience in the construction industry
Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects from inception through completion
Required experience in multifamily construction
Track record of overseeing projects valued at $20M or more
Proficiency in Procore or comparable construction management platforms
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
