Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction in Fort Lauderdale seeks a Project Manager for multifamily construction to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, including budget development and client coordination.

You will supervise subcontractors, seek cost-saving opportunities, and drive schedules with the design team and vendors. A strong budget discipline and client-facing experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of construction management or engineering design experience.
• Experience leading ground-up multifamily, senior living, hospitality, or student housing projects preferred.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from preconstruction through closeout.
• Work with clients and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget.
• Review scope, discuss cost-saving ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees with clients.
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for all trades and vendors.
• Identify opportunities to procure material or equipment directly to save budget or schedule.
• Collaborate with Project Superintendent on schedules, scopes of work, and site logistics.
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site during construction.
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare pay apps and progress reports.
