Job summary

RIMEPRO INC is seeking an experienced Estimator to support preconstruction and estimating efforts for ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, budgets, bid packages, and subcontractor pricing while working with PMs, Superintendents, architects, engineers, and clients.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of construction estimating or preconstruction experience.
• Experience estimating ground-up multifamily or mixed-use construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Experience with subcontractor bidding, bid leveling, and scope analysis.
• Understanding of podium, wood-frame, concrete, and Type III/V construction.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction estimates.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications.
• Develop project budgets, bid packages, scope sheets, and cost breakdowns.
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, and potential project risks.
• Participate in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, architects, and consultants during preconstruction.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and buyout.
• Monitor construction market conditions, material pricing, and labor costs.
• Participate in design development meetings, client presentations, and budget reviews.
• Maintain accurate estimating records, historical costs, and project documentation.
• Support project scheduling, construction phasing, and procurement planning.
• Assist with transitioning projects from preconstruction to operations.
