Job summary

Centro de la Familia de Utah seeks a Center Aide Substitute to support classrooms and ensure a safe, engaging environment for young learners. You may work across multiple locations within our center under the guidance of the Education Specialist.

The role involves helping with activities, promoting healthy habits, and assisting with transportation, kitchen operations, and family services as needed. Strong enthusiasm for working with children and readiness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Enthusiasm to work with children, including those with special needs.
• Able to stand for long periods, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable sitting on the floor during activities.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; CDA/AA in ECE is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and supervision.
• Ensure a safe playground and adherence to health policies.
• Assist with transportation, kitchen operations, and family services as needed.
• Support development across physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and language areas.
• Foster a warm, respectful, and positive classroom environment.

Skills

Enthusiasm for working with children
