Job summary

Aether Aerospace (a joint platform including JHNA) in Alexandria, VA, is hiring a Joint Force Operations Planner for full-time, on-site work. Immediate start, active Top Secret with SCI eligibility required, and broad experience in mission engineering and joint operations is essential.

Responsibilities include running war games, CONOP/CONEMP development, analysis of IADS and JADC2 concepts, and coordinating with multiple staff and services to support evolving joint mission objectives.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in operations research with a focus on mission engineering, systems engineering, or operational analysis.
• 5 years of experience with mission planning and analysis including OPLANs, CONOPS, CONEMP, and defense systems.
• 3 years collaborating with diverse teams including engineering and staff to accomplish complex tasks.
• 3 years of working knowledge of modeling, simulation and analysis (MS&A) in defense contexts.
• 2 years of experience in military or defense sectors related to joint operations, R&D, or S&T.

Responsibilities

• Joint-Force Mission Engineering: develop studies, wargames, and table-top exercises for multi-domain force integration.
• Planning Expertise: advise on warfighting disciplines and COA analysis to craft war games on IADS, long-range strike, EW, and JADC2.
• Threat Intelligence Integration: advise on threat actors and their impact on operations.
• CONOP/CONEMP Development: help create concepts of operation and employment with metrics for mission success.
• Stakeholder Coordination: work with Warfighter, Joint Staff, and service centers to support current and future ops.
