Job summary

Aether Aerospace is the defense platform formed by JHNA, CTSi, and EXPANSIA, located in Alexandria, VA. We are seeking a Joint Force Operations Planner to join a government/contractor team evaluating legacy architectures and new technologies for joint mission concepts and employment.

This role requires High/Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and extensive experience in operations research, planning, and system analysis to inform multi-domain operations and CONOP/CONEMP development.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in operations research focused on mission engineering, systems engineering, or operational analysis.
• 5 years of experience with mission planning and analysis including CONOPS/CONEMP and defense systems.
• 3 years collaborating with diverse teams including engineering and staff to accomplish complex tasks.
• 3 years of modeling, simulation and analysis techniques to support operational planning and mission design in defense contexts.
• 2 years of experience within military or defense sector related to joint operations or mission planning.

Responsibilities

• Aid in development and execution of Mission Engineering Studies, wargames, and tabletop exercises focused on multi-domain forces integration.
• Consult on warfighting disciplines, COA analysis, strategy development, and organizational processes to craft wargames.
• Support planning by advising on potential threat actors and their impact on military operations.
• Collaborate to develop CONOPs/CONEMPs, metrics to measure mission success, and understand operational activities requiring multi-service actions.
• Coordinate with Warfighter, Joint Staff, and Service Intelligence Centers to support ongoing and future operations.
