Job summary

Aether Aerospace is seeking a Joint Force Operations Planner to join a government/contractor team dedicated to evaluating legacy architectures and new technologies applied to a range of joint mission concepts.

The role includes leading mission engineering studies, wargames, and CONOP/CONEMP development, with emphasis on integrated air defense, long-range strike, EW, and JADC2, while coordinating with Joint Staff and service components to inform future plans.

Qualifications

• 7 years of ops research with a focus on mission engineering.
• 5 years in mission planning and analysis including OPLANs/CONOPS/CONEMP.
• 3 years collaborating with diverse teams including Joint Staff and CCMDs.
• 3 years modeling, simulation and analysis for defense planning.
• 2 years in military/defense sector in joint ops or R&D.
• Analytic acumen and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Joint-Force Mission Engineering: develop studies, wargames and TTXs for multi-domain forces.
• Plan and analyze IADS penetration, long-range strike, EW, and JADC2 concepts.
• Support threat intelligence integration and mission planning activities.
• Develop CONOPs/CONEMP, metrics for mission success, and joint staff coordination.
• Coordinate with Warfighter, Joint Staff and Service staffs for ongoing operations.
