Job summary

Backburner Labs, Inc. is seeking a Technical Project Manager to drive multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept to customer delivery in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area.

You will coordinate mechanical, electrical, software, controls, and manufacturing perspectives, balancing tradeoffs and guiding teams toward practical technical direction. You’ll help create clarity around scope, priorities, schedules, budgets, risks, and next steps, while maintaining strong communication with customers,

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex engineering projects across mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing disciplines.
• Ability to move between disciplines, evaluate options, and guide teams toward a practical technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering projects from early concept through customer delivery.
• Bridge engineering, manufacturing, customer, and business perspectives to establish technical direction.
• Define scope, priorities, ownership, schedules, budgets, risks, and next steps.
• Serve as central communication point among customers, engineers, leadership, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Identify drift or misaligned assumptions and steer the team constructively.
• Build and improve project-management processes, reporting, documentation, and KPIs.
