Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies in Middletown, RI seeks a creative Physical Systems Engineer to join the PS2 unit. You will work on shipboard systems, unmanned platforms, payloads, and sensing/data collection systems. The role emphasizes integrated systems design, documentation, and iterative evaluation from concept to high TRL products.

On-site work is expected most of the week. The candidate should have a STEM degree with 2+ years of experience or an advanced degree, and the ability to secure a Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM and 2+ years experience, or an advanced degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US government clearance is required.
• Experience in organizing and executing multidiscipline system design and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and decompose system requirements and objectives.
• Create and analyze designs using modeling tools (SolidWorks, Matlab, Simulink, Ansys).
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and metrics.
• Maintain SWaP-C tracking spreadsheets.
• Conduct market and scientific database research to inform design.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and program management.
• Communicate project status through reports and presentations.
• Travel domestically up to 10%.
