Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and Structural Building Systems Engineering Interns for our Rockville, MD office.

Interns participate in analysis, design development, drafting, field investigations, report preparation, and site visits with experienced engineers. The program covers mechanical HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural design disciplines.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM software preferred.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or structural engineering analysis and design.
• Support the preparation of calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Develop drawings and models using AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM/CADD software.
• Assist with load calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts.
• Participate in field investigations and site visits.
• Review drawings under supervision of senior staff.
• Support design deliverables for licensed engineers.
