U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association in Park City, Utah seeks a Special Events Manager to own the production and flawless execution of multiday events, including Partner Summit, Congress, Board meetings, and other internal or partner gatherings.

You will manage group hotel blocks, agendas, content coordination, gifting, vendor relationships, and on-site production. The role leads end-to-end event production, coordinates with Communications/Marketing, supports the Hospitality team, and tracks event

Qualifications

  • 3+ years producing multi-day conferences, summits, or similar group programs—CMP or similar preferred.
  • Comfortable negotiating vendor contracts and managing a budget.
  • Able to travel domestically, and occasionally internationally, up to 35%.
  • Valid driver’s license; able to obtain a passport.
  • Available nights, weekends, and holidays around the event calendar.
  • Clear, professional communicator across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptable under pressure; solves problems on-site in real time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end production of multi-day gatherings and events.
  • Manage group hotel blocks, meeting space contracting, and on-site logistics.
  • Manage gifting and support the development of F&B for all multiday events.
  • Coordinate agenda, content, and speaker logistics with department stakeholders.
  • Own event-specific budgets, tracking expense against targets across the full multi-day program.
  • Partner with Communications/Marketing/Creative on event promotion and content.
  • Coordinate athlete appearances at multi-day events in partnership with team managers or athlete coordinator.
  • Foster relationships between events, athletes, and the organization.
  • Promote athletes through strategy, integration and appearances at multi-day engagements.
  • Maintain event inventory and production equipment for multi-day programs.
  • Support other divisional and cross-departmental events as assigned.
