Job summary

Univertical LLC in Angola, IN is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join an experienced production team. You will troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and perform preventive and reactive maintenance on a range of equipment including mills, lathes, welders, furnaces, and conveyors.

The role requires 2–4 years of maintenance experience in industrial settings, a multi-craft background, and the ability to read blueprints and manuals.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or processing environments.
• Multi-craft background covering mechanical and electrical work.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems on production and facility equipment.
• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on mills, lathes, welding equipment, rolling mill, tumbler, furnaces, drawbench, conformer, and shear.
• Install, adjust, and align motors, pumps, conveyors, piping, and valves; replace failed motors.
• Work on electrical systems up to 480V three-phase, including panels, contactors, and control voltage circuits.
• Support fabrication needs—welding, cutting, grinding, and basic repairs.
• Communicate across shift changeovers; document completed repairs.
• Make safe, timely decisions off-hours to keep the line running.
• Follow all safety, PPE, and environmental requirements, including lockout/tagout.
