Job summary

Griffith Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain and repair machinery and electrical systems in a food production environment at the Lithonia, GA site. The role supports production with preventive maintenance and equipment repairs, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will operate various tools, utilize CMMS/RedZone knowledge, and work on 1st–4th shifts with appropriate credentials and physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent OR HS diploma with 3 years related experience in electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic/PLC programming.
• Experience with food production equipment (mixers, packaging lines, palletizing systems).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English; able to interpret instructions and memos.
• Comfort in confined spaces and working around allergens/chemicals.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, LOTO and OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment by identifying issues.
• Document work orders using CMMS.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
• Repair and replace gauges, valves and related equipment.
• Maintain building structures and utilities.
• Operate tools (grinder, lathe, drill press, torches) and fabricate parts as needed.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and follow up on repairs.
• Support autonomous maintenance and SOP/centerline programs.
