ITW Sexton, located at the Decatur, AL facility, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep capital equipment running safely and reliably. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance of mechanical systems, with emphasis on documentation and safety.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, experience in mechanical maintenance or welding, ability to read blueprints, and familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical maintenance experience required; welding coursework or certifications are highly desired.
• Proficiency reading blueprints and documentation; familiarity with precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess and troubleshoot all capital equipment in plant.
• Support new equipment installations, repairs, and changeovers.
• Lockout/tagout and control of equipment during maintenance.
• Repair mechanical issues across production equipment and facility systems.
• Rebuild hydraulic cylinders and replace gears, bearings, and drives.
• Learn machine-specific setup, changeover, and maintenance protocols.
• Troubleshoot tooling, hydraulic, and mechanical drive issues.
• Maintain stock of supplies and spare parts with documentation.
