Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Hampton, VA is seeking Multicraft Maintenance Techs to join the Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) group. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment to meet customer specifications in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Shifts include 2nd shift (M-F 3pm-11pm) and 3rd shift (M-F 11pm-7am), with training on 1st shift (M-F 7am-3pm). A shift premium of $1.00 per hour is paid for off-shift assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years industrial electro-mechanical experience.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, water, PLC, welding, or analytic troubleshooting.
• Ability to work all shifts (including overtime) as needed.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, conveyors, and production machines as per manuals and specs.
• Identify sources of problems using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot 480Vac power systems and 120Vac controls.
• Read blueprints and interpret electrical/mechanical diagrams.
• Dismantle/reassemble machines and replace faulty parts; install new components.
• Rigs equipment for installation or relocation and operates hand tools.
