Job summary

Maryland Public Television (MPT) seeks an experienced Director/Videographer to manage on‑location and studio productions, shaping the look of the program and coordinating technical elements with the crew. You will operate as director, technical director, and/or videographer as needed, ensuring high production standards across varied environments and projects.

The role requires strong camera and lighting know‑how, the ability to lead on‑set decisions, and a disciplined approach to time and budget

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of experience with portable production equipment.
• Substitution: 30 college credits per year up to two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate portable equipment including video camera, microphones and audio mixer.
• Coordinate production elements and pre-production meetings.
• Perform Technical Director duties—switcher, graphics, timing.
