Job summary

Oaklawn is seeking a Bugler Utility Cook to support all Food & Beverage venues in the Hotel/Casino. The role involves prepping, cooking, stocking, rotating inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment while delivering friendly guest service.

Under direct supervision, you will follow recipes, coordinate with chefs, and help ensure all areas are ready for operation. A strong work ethic and team spirit are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 2 years cooking experience.
• 1+ years guest service experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety regulations.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to recipes and demand.
• Uses proper knife skills and cooking techniques.
• Reads and follows standardized recipes for all venues.
• Maintains clean, organized and sanitized work areas.
• Communicates with chefs and team members to ensure par levels.
• Ensures venues are ready to open by designated times.
