You will lead bakery operations, coach managers, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, while owning the P&L and contributing to budgets and staffing plans.

Our bakeries are filled with the delicious tastes and sweet smells of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and bars- all baked from scratch, on-site daily, using the freshest and finest ingredients. Our signature Celebration Cake is a birthday staple on tens of thousands of tables. The Market Leader oversees a group of bakeries, driving operational and financial results and guest satisfaction by leading, developing and inspiring bakery teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

• Ensures bakeries operate flawlessly and deliver on the Annual Operating Plan
• Builds genuine guest connections, delivers world class hospitality and holds teams to the same standard
• Conducts regular bakery visits to check product quality, presentation, production and team standards

People

• Develops quarterly staffing plans for each bakery based on forecasted sales
• Recruits, selects and retains managers and team members who reflect our standards and values
• Builds succession plans and develops high-potential team members
• Completes performance reviews and coaches, counsels and holds teams accountable, including disciplinary action when needed
• Leads market-wide training to support team member development and career growth

Financial

• Owns the P&L for their bakeries, driving sales and managing costs
• Coaches and motivates teams to hit sales, labor and cost of goods goals
• Contributes to the budget planning process
• Approves labor schedules and bi-weekly payroll in line with sales forecasts and labor budgets

Safety and R&M

• Ensures proper safety procedures are being followed
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment in accordance with bakery and health department standards
• Ensures pest elimination and chemical safety standards are consistently maintained
• Monitors and advises on unscheduled bakery maintenance as needed

Communication

• Reviews leadership meeting minutes and follows up as needed
• Reads bakery communications daily and follows up as appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-8 years of multi-unit management experience
• 10-15 years of business experience, preferably with luxury brands in hospitality, food service and/or retail
• Experience building budgets, setting targets and business planning
• Proven operations track record in a fast-paced, growing environment
• Schedule flexibility to meet business needs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Up to 20% overnight travel

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent walking, kneeling, bending and reaching overhead
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to safely use bakery equipment
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Able to taste products for quality assurance
• Must have reliable transportation

EDUCATION

Undergraduate degree in business or hospitality management preferred
