SONIC Multi-Unit Leader Job Description

As a Sonic Multi-Unit Leader, you will manage the operations of all General Managers and employees within multiple SONIC drive-ins. Your responsibilities include training and supporting employees to ensure quality food is provided in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, ensuring our guests have an enjoyable experience at Sonic. Your duties include:
- Managing, training, and coaching General Managers, and conducting management orientation.
- Directing and assigning employees to meet operational standards.
- Overseeing employees and management in performing duties across various stations (Fountain & Frozen, Dresser, Front Swamp, Back Swamp, Grill, Switchboard, Expeditor, Food Prep, Carhop, Skating Carhop, Drive-Thru) to ensure quality and service standards are met.
- Ensuring compliance with employee handbook, policies, and practices.
- Addressing employee issues and policy violations promptly and reporting them to supervisors.
- Reviewing work schedules to ensure adequate staffing for guest service.
- Monitoring cost control procedures for food, labor, and inventory, and taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Monitoring vendor performance and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Auditing employment and payroll records.
- Focusing on guest needs and responding to escalated guest requests and complaints respectfully.
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring management team members.
- Approving employee and management compensation within guidelines.
- Preparing operational reports and developing action plans for financial or sales issues.
- Developing and implementing regional marketing plans.
Additional Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in business or restaurant management preferred.
- Minimum of three years of restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR, with shift management experience.
- Experience in multi-unit supervision is required.
- Availability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and labor laws.
- Leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.
- Basic accounting and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and solve problems effectively.
- Adherence to company appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.
