Job summary

Kumori is seeking a Multi-Unit General Manager in Brownsville, TX to oversee three restaurants (two opening soon). You will lead teams, drive sales, and ensure quality across all locations, while managing costs and delivering memorable guest experiences.

You will recruit, train, and coach staff, uphold safety and compliance, and implement local marketing to grow revenue in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 4 years of proven success in restaurant management (multi-unit experience preferred).
• High school diploma or GED; Food Safety Manager certification required.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and financial acumen; proficient in accounting and inventory software.

What You’ll Do

• Customer Service & Quality Control
• Ensure each location delivers outstanding food and service that delights every customer.

• Cultivate a customer-first culture by empowering teams to uphold high standards.
• Recruit, train, and manage teams to excel in their roles, driving sales and service goals.

• Provide ongoing training and coaching, using tools like the Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook.
• Set and achieve sales and profitability goals while managing labor, food costs, and other controllable expenses.

• Analyze daily sales and performance metrics to optimize operations and profitability.

Compliance, Safety & Asset Management

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-equipped restaurant environments.
• Proactively manage inventory and company assets to meet demand and minimize waste.

What You Bring

• Experience: 4 years of proven success in restaurant management (multi-unit experience preferred).
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Food Safety Manager certification required.
• Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, and financial acumen. Proficient in accounting and inventory management software.
• Personal Qualities: Positive attitude, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Additional Requirements: Must be 18 , bilingual in English and Spanish, authorized to work in the U.S., and have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Availability for long or unscheduled hours, including nights and weekends, if required.
