Job summary

The State of Missouri seeks an experienced Specialized Trades Supervisor to lead a multidisciplinary team across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and more. You will oversee work on building and equipment projects, train staff, and ensure alignment with project objectives and safety policies.

Successful candidates will bring 3-5 years of skilled trades experience and a strong safety mindset, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and respond to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of skilled experience in trades, building maintenance, or construction.
• Experience supervising vocational-level employees, including training and assigning work.
• Ability to plan, manage, and direct numerous time-sensitive projects.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA standards; OSHA 10/30 preferred.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver license from Missouri or adjacent state.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and more) to complete building and maintenance projects.
• Direct, train, and manage staff to meet project objectives and safety requirements.
• Prioritize purchasing requests, time/leave management, and facility coverage.
• Ensure facilities comply with agency requirements and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Provide after-hours coverage and travel to other facilities for support.
