Job summary

The State of Nevada, Department of Administration - State Public Works Division, Buildings and Grounds Section, is seeking a journey level Maintenance Repair Specialist in Carson City. The role covers repair, construction, alteration and maintenance of state facilities, equipment, and grounds, with duties across plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and equipment mechanics.

Work hours are 8 am–5 pm, Monday to Friday, with an on-call rotation and potential travel to multiple sites in Northern

Qualifications

Four years of progressively responsible experience under supervision in two or more major building or mechanical trades.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled plumbing work to maintain, repair and modify plumbing systems and fixtures.
Perform skilled carpentry work to construct, maintain and repair facilities, fixtures, furniture and woodwork.
Perform skilled electrical work including reviewing blueprints, installing wiring and equipment, and troubleshooting motors/generators.
Perform skilled painting work including surface prep and applying finishes.
Perform skilled equipment mechanical work including maintenance of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and related systems.
