Job summary

The State of Nevada is seeking a Maintenance Repair Specialist 1 for the 152nd Civil Engineer Squadron at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. This journey-level role performs skilled work across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and equipment mechanics to maintain and repair facilities, grounds and equipment.

You will inspect plans, install and repair systems, prepare cost estimates and ensure compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible experience in two or more trades including repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and building codes.
• Experience across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, welding and equipment mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled plumbing work to maintain and repair systems.
• Install and repair hot water heaters.
• Repair electric motors, generators and equipment.
• Construct, repair and modify facilities and woodwork.
• Prepare cost estimates and materials for projects.
