Job summary

Oak View Group in Greensboro is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform semi-skilled and skilled work across the Greensboro Complex, Greensboro Aquatic Center, and Tanger Center buildings. The role involves carpentry, masonry, electrical, welding, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and other mechanical repairs.

The position pays $25.00–$30.00 per hour and remains open until October 16, 2026; full benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of mechanical repair experience.
• Associate’s degree in mechanics or trade certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair a variety of mechanical tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret sketches, diagrams, and blueprints and perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain and repair facilities and buildings, including carpentry, masonry, electrical, welding, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and mechanical work.
• Install electrical power, internet, and a variety of other needs as requested during show setup and the event.
• Install, adjust, repair, and inspect heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, including forced air furnaces, boilers, water pumps, chillers, air conditioning units, exhaust fans, air filters, compressors, cooling towers, and heat exchangers.
• Install, repair, and replace electrical lighting systems; plumbing fixtures including sinks, faucets, and pipes; light bulbs; ballasts; and lights; and clear any obstructions from water and sewer lines.
• Drive company vehicles to procure supplies and materials from local vendors and operate utility/golf carts to perform maintenance activities across a multi‑venue campus, including nine venues and the Tanger Center.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
