Kemco Facilities Services seeks a reliable General Field Service Technician to service Starkville, MS, and nearby areas. This multi-trade role covers plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general construction with emphasis on commercial repairs and safe, professional service.

The ideal candidate can troubleshoot across multiple trades, work independently in the field, and communicate clearly with customers about needs, repairs, and status.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; trade training preferred.
• Experience: 2–5 years in commercial maintenance, plumbing, electrical, or related trades.
• Multi-trade ability: perform across several trades rather than one specialty.
• Technical skills: strong troubleshooting with plumbing/electrical, carpentry, construction.
• Laminate countertop experience is a plus but not required.
• Certifications are a plus.
• Driver's license and clean driving record.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry, construction components.
• Complete a variety of commercial handyman and facility repair tasks.
• Identify causes of equipment and structural issues and repair solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to prevent failures.
• Communicate service needs, repairs, and status with customers.
• Follow safety procedures and industry standards on all work.
• Document work, materials, and job completion promptly.
• Manage tools, equipment, and repair materials inventory.
• Ensure repairs are performed correctly with minimal disruption.
• Continue developing knowledge across trades and industry best practices.
