Action Facilities Management, INC (AFM) is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform preventative maintenance and general upkeep on campus buildings, systems, and equipment. The role requires practical skills in HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and masonry, plus the ability to read plans and operate hand and power tools; shift is Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:30pm in Alexandria Bay.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, trade certification preferred, 2–3 years building trades

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Trade School Certification preferred.
• 2-3 years progressive experience in building trades.
• Need experience with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of safety and code compliance.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand plans.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general maintenance to buildings, structures, machinery, and equipment.
• Assist in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical tasks.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely.
• Document work details and maintain records.
• Respond to issues like leaks, power loss, and temperature concerns.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and inspections.
