Job summary

Action Facilities Management is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform a wide range of preventative and general maintenance tasks across campus buildings, systems, and equipment. The role requires practical skill in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and masonry.

The position is a union role with a pay rate of $31.00 per hour, typically Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm, on site in Augusta, ME.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance and skilled trades such as HVAC, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting or masonry.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on campus facilities and equipment.
• Ability to read plans and take measurements, use basic testing instruments, and document work performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks on buildings, structures, machinery, and equipment.
• Assist in preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, and related components.
• Replace fixtures, repair drywall, floors, doors, and related systems as needed.
• Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and work areas; document work orders and hours.
