Job summary

Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) seeks temporary tutors for all campuses. Tutors provide academic support across subjects such as Accounting, Mathematics, Science, English and computer applications, and assist with digital tools like D2L, Outlook 365 and Zoom.

The role involves up to 28 hours per week at $16.50 per hour. Training may be provided; candidates should demonstrate subject matter knowledge or relevant degree, and be prepared to work with diverse students in one-on-one or small-group

Qualifications

• Requires an associate’s degree or higher in the discipline or related field, or demonstrated subject matter expertise.
• For student applicants, a B or higher in the course subject and recommendations from two college-level instructors.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the learning process for students seeking assistance outside the classroom.
• Works one-on-one and in small groups; maintains knowledge across all tutored subjects.
• Records session notes in TutorTrac system.
