Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree with endorsement in the grade/subject taught and a valid Tennessee teaching certificate.
• Two or more years of teaching experience at high school or post-secondary level.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, and conduct a comprehensive instructional tutoring program for Upward Bound students.
• Experience working with minority and disadvantaged students.

Responsibilities

• Teach students learning strategies for an academic math class (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-calculus/Calculus).
• Prepare and submit a course syllabus prior to the start of the class and assist with planning, instruction, and evaluation of tutoring activities.
• Complete paperwork related to classroom and project management.
• Make recommendations on students' strengths and needs.
• Attend training and meetings.

Education

Bachelor's degree and endorsement in the grade/subject taught with a valid Tennessee certificate
