Job summary

Yes! Communities, Inc. is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster in Denver, CO to manage a caseload from inception through closure, conduct investigations, and coordinate medical and return-to-work efforts.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of multi-state workers' compensation claims handling, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and experience with risk management practices. OSHA awareness and reporting are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 3–5 years of workers' compensation claims handling experience.
• Multi-state claim handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer a caseload of workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution.
• Conduct thorough investigations to determine compensability and liability.
• Obtain and review accident reports, witness statements, medical records, and employment documentation.
• Analyze claim facts and applicable statutes to make timely compensability determinations.
• Establish and adjust reserves based on claim exposure and ongoing developments.
• Monitor claim progress and ensure file documentation is complete and accurate.
• Coordinate medical treatment with healthcare providers and return-to-work programs.
• Collaborate with HR and operations on work restrictions and accommodations.
• Manage litigated claims in partnership with defense counsel and attend mediations or hearings.
