Job summary

Abby Care is seeking a dynamic Medical Billing Manager to lead a high-volume, multi-state revenue cycle team. You will oversee end-to-end billing, optimize denials, and expand billing operations as we launch new states.

You will collaborate with Clinical, Care Operations, and Expansion teams to ensure compliance and accurate documentation, while driving process improvements and KPI reporting. Home health experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in medical billing, with supervisory experience.
• Multi-State Expertise: manage billing operations across a multi-state footprint with varied payer regimes.
• Volume Capability: thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume claims environment; handle denials at scale.
• Systems Savvy: strong proficiency with medical billing software, EHR/EMR, and clearinghouses.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage, mentor, and elevate the medical billing team; set KPIs and conduct reviews.
• Oversee end-to-end billing and collections across multiple states; ensure compliance with state Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial payer rules.
• Manage a high daily claim volume; identify bottlenecks, reduce denial rates, improve CCR.
• Design, document and implement standardized billing workflows for new state launches.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Care Operations, and Expansion teams to support rapid growth; provide regulatory and payer insights.
• Track and report financial metrics (DSO, aging, denial trends) to leadership.
