Job summary

PeopleOS is seeking an experienced Billing Manager to lead our billing operations, drive timely reimbursements, and ensure Medicaid/Medicare and payer compliance.

You will manage staff, set standards, streamline workflows, monitor KPIs, and partner with Finance, Clinical Ops, and AR to protect revenue integrity.

This hands-on leadership role requires a detail‑oriented approach and a proven track record of reducing denials and improving cash collections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years healthcare billing experience preferred.
• 3+ years supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations.
• Experience with EMR and billing software.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Billing Department.
• Supervise and develop a team of billing specialists.
• Ensure timely submission of electronic and paper claims.
• Oversee claim edits, reconciliation, and QA.
• Build and maintain SOPs for billing operations.
• Monitor productivity and resolve workflow bottlenecks.
• Track claim status and drive follow-ups on unpaid claims.
• Reduce denials through QA reviews and staff training.
• Partner with Accounts Receivable to improve collections.
• Validate billing accuracy before submission.
