Post Acute Medical Services seeks an experienced Lead Medical Billing Specialist to oversee key functions in our Revenue Cycle Management department. The role combines hands-on billing and coding with leadership, including team oversight, process improvement, reporting, and operational support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of medical billing experience, including physician billing.
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS coding and reimbursement.
• Experience in SNF/LTC or geriatric healthcare settings.
• Experience analyzing revenue cycle KPIs and operational reporting.
• Experience with billing software conversions and system implementations.
• Advanced proficiency with medical billing software, EHRs, reporting tools, and Excel.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for leadership.

• Provide daily guidance, mentorship, and workflow oversight for a small team of Medical Billing Specialists.
• Manage escalation for complex billing, coding, and reimbursement issues.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and coaching of billing staff.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of claims and coding accuracy.
• Develop dashboards and reports for leadership review.
• Support billing software transitions and system implementations.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reimbursement from payers.
• Monitor KPIs and drive process improvements.
