Job summary

Impact Kids in Oakland is seeking experienced Youth Sports Coaches to lead instruction in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and cross country for children aged 4 to 14. The role requires high energy, a positive approach, and the ability to translate drills into engaging, safe learning experiences across multiple sites.

Candidates should have at least 2 years working with kids, with 1–5 years in youth sports coaching or PE, and a willingness to travel between schools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children.
• Youth sports coaching or physical education instruction experience (1–5 years).
• Experience coaching more than one sport is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction in soccer, basketball, volleyball and running/cross country for ages 4–14.
• Demonstrate skills and tactics, observe progress, and give feedback to students.
• Adapt drills to age groups to ensure participation and success.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, fitness, and confidence in each session.
• Coordinate with schools and programs to align schedules and activities.
• Supervise groups with attention to behavior, safety, and development.
• Ensure student safety and prepare daily plans creatively.
• Lead activities with effective classroom management and inclusivity.
• Collaborate with fellow staff and uphold company values.
