Job summary

i9 Sports in the NW Metro Minneapolis area is seeking a part-time Sport Instructor to promote the i9 Sports Experience and work with kids across multiple sports including soccer, flag football, baseball, basketball and volleyball.

The Sports Specialist will support coaches and volunteers, adapt to changing priorities, and may fill in as a coach or official. Flexible Saturdays and weeknights; 3–6 hours per shift; Spring ’26 & Summer ’26 seasons.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge.
• Motivated self-starter; can work independently and solve problems.
• Aptitude to fulfill a number of different tasks on game days.
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work on Saturday 4-6 hours (full season).
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Assist volunteer coaches in practicing fundamentals and skill development.
• Fill in as a coach or official as required.
• Assist in setting up and tearing down game days.
• Communicate potential issues to the Sport Coordinator or Site Manager.
