Job summary

Amazing Athletes is hiring Sports Coaches in California to teach children across multiple sports using prepared curriculums. New coaches can work 5-25 classes per week, earning $25 per hour with potential to reach $30 per hour.

Training is provided and schedules are flexible to accommodate mornings, afternoons, and some weekends. Coaches travel to various pre-schools, day-care centers, parks, and schools within about an hour from home, promoting life skills and a positive, non-competitive

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 semester units in early childhood education or child development.
• At least one course of three semester units in each core area: growth, family/community, curriculum, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized attention to ensure every child succeeds.
• Maintain a non-competitive environment so classes are fun and stress-free.
• Use positive reinforcement to motivate children to do better and celebrate success.
• Attend monthly/weekly/season trainings and follow the Amazing Athletes Coaching Manual & Curriculum.

The Position

New Coaches can work 5-25 classes a week, earn [$25 per hr], and can earn up to [$30 per hr]. Our programs come with ready-made curriculums and extensive training to help you get up to speed quickly and enjoy working with the kids!

The Schedule

The majority of classes are held during the morning and early afternoon hours as well as weekends. The ideal candidate would have the availability on some of the days and times listed below:

• Monday-Friday (Times): 800am-12:00pm & 2:00-5:00pm
• Weekends: (Times) 8:00am -1:00pm

The Location

Classes are held across pre-schools/day-care centers, parks, recreational centers, and elementary schools. Coaches are expected to travel up to an hour to get to a class location.

Requirements

Complete a minimum of 12 semester units of course work in early childhood education or child development (excluding field work), including at least one course of at least three semester units in each of the following core areas:

• Child/human growth and development. ECE 100
