Job summary

Madison Medical is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians across multiple specialties. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with injections, and point-of-care testing according to clinic protocols.

You will maintain clean exam rooms, manage calls and messages, document in the EHR, and provide patient education while ensuring accuracy and compassionate care throughout the visit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification preferred but not required.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Organized with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication with patients, peers and physicians.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain brief history and vitals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and keep EHR up to date.
• Provide quality patient care and assist physician with procedures.
• Administer routine medications including immunizations and topical agents.
• Refill medications or obtain prior authorizations per MD protocols.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient communication.
